Here are some of my thoughts on using textbooks written in Spanish for elementary school and middle school-aged children in order to learn and improve one's Spanish grammar, and also in order to provide a general overview of the language as understood by a native speaker -- as opposed to how it might be taught at an English-speaking high school or college in the US:
